The Hankyu Bus, which is known for its beige and blue color scheme, operates various types of buses. The most popular ones are the "standard buses" and the "low-emission buses”. The low-emission buses expend less energy, incur lower fuel costs and have clean emissions that are gentle on humans and the environment. We adopt a new design with multi-color lines on a white backdrop.
All buses will display their bus number, destination and route on the front and sides. When taking the bus, make sure you are boarding the right bus by checking the displayed destination.
Board at the center of the bus (some have entrances in the rear). The exit is at the front of the bus by the driver's seat. Fares are collected on disembarking in a fare box by the driver's seat.
Wheelchair access symbols are located on either side of the destination displays on the front or at the entrance of all low-floor buses.
Buses bearing this symbol accommodate wheelchairs. When boarding the bus on a wheelchair, notify the driver using the intercom by the entrance.
Confirm the destination and timetable at the bus stop.
Stay on the sidewalk until the bus comes to a full stop and the door opens.
Please board the bus in an orderly fashion and refrain from smoking at the bus stop.
When the bus arrives, confirm its destination on the display.
Confirm the bus's destination, and board at the entrance of the bus.
When paying by cash
If the light on the numbered ticket*1) dispensing machine located at inside the entrance is flashing, please take your ticket.
(Numbered tickets are not issued for the first stop, so passengers can board the bus without a ticket. Buses that run city routes with a flat rate may not have a numbered ticket machine, or if there is one it may be covered. If so, passengers can board the bus without a ticket.)
To prevent accidents while the bus is moving, look for an open seat or hold onto one of the hanging straps or bars.
When the bus approaches a bus stop, the name of the stop will appear on a screen at the front of the bus and will be announced over the speakers. Press the button to notify the driver that you are getting off.
※The bus may skip the stop if there is no notification.
Please wait in your seat until the bus comes to a full stop and the door opens. Standing passengers must hold on to the straps or bars until the bus stops.
Check the fare by route displayed at the front of the bus and your ticket number. (If you don't have a numbered ticket, look for the fare under "no ticket")
When paying by cash, have the fare ready before boarding. The bus can give change but only for ¥1,000 bills.
When paying by cash
